Paraffin Control
Crude oils can contain naturally occurring long chains of n-paraffin’s that can give issues with precipitation of wax crystals at a lower temperature or if lower molecular weight components are lost during production. Paraffin formation can be minimised by the use of surfactant based dispersants, these can also give beneficial properties in the removal of any paraffin deposits that have formed during production.

The paraffin control additive offered by Lankem can be used in the formulation of inhibition systems and to optimise the performance of hot oiling treatments to remove formed deposits. The following is a selection of the products that find application as components in paraffin control:
-
Kemsurf PWS is a highly effective paraffin dispersant for the control and removal of deposits, it can also be used in combination with paraffin inhibitors to boast their performance, Kemsurf SBE acid and its salts can also be used in the formulation of paraffin dispersants.
