Lansurf STO can be used singularly or in combination with the ester ethoxylates such as Lansurf STO85. Typically this product is extremely hydrophobic and finds use as an emulsifier in many waxes and creams for household applications.

Used in combinations with the exthoxylates, Lansurf STO is used in textiles, leather treatments, silicone oils and agrochemicals. This product is also found to be readily biodegradable and would not expect to persist indefinitely in the environment.
